more than likely to be front wheel drive....most cars are nowadays....its easily checked take a look under the car and look for a propeller shaft? leading to the rear wheels into a differential unit? but i dont think youlle find one.....ALL Civics in the UK are front wheel drive...

Almost all Honda's are front wheel drive, especially the smaller ones and the newer ones (1990+).
Most small cars (American/Japanize/German) are front wheel drive because it's a much cheaper way to build the car. The engine & transaxle are installed in 1 easy step thus saving at least 1hour of labour and $200 in material. A transaxle is the transmission and axle as it is known for rear wheel drive but combined into 1 unit because it's cheaper to make. When you save even $1 on a building a car, multiplied by 1 million cars... that's a lot of money!!!
