tested. Well she said things look fine, but since I am overweight my estrogen levels are to high and I am not ovulating (having a period) She gave me a pill to get my period and told me to come back in 3 months if I dont get my period again after taking that pill. Then she said you have 3 options at that point. 1. Lose ALOT of weight. 2. Go on birth control pill and get regulated for 1 yr or 3. That I could come back in and she could get me on some kind of fertility drug (which she said she didnt recommend because I am overweight and it makes issues for baby/pregnancy) Well its been about 3 months and no period. I really dont want to go back in cause I know what she is going to tell me, and as of now my husband thinks I should work on losing weight. But I want a baby so bad and I really want to go on fertility drugs, and continue to lose weight at the same time, but family are telling me to wait and just focus on getting healthy and losing weight. What should I do???

lose the weight! Trust me, it makes everything easier. Do you want whats best for your baby? Getting pregnant now will be harder on you and the baby, don;t give him a rough start in life just because you are impatient. You may not need to lose alot, 30 lbs can be gone in 4 months, and it makes a huge difference.

Girl, we are in the same boat! I've been married 5 years and still ttc... although I did have 2 ectopic pregnancies but no luck after that, I have gained about 50 lbs in these 5 years...and yes, all the signs point on losing weight first when trying to conceive... I think about taking weight loss pills but then I stop because "what if I'm pregnant" It's very hard and frustrated, I'm at the point that I tell my hubby to go out and look somewhere else, he's very handsome, great husband, but I can't give him kids, heck I can't even be a freaking trophy wife, then what's the use for me in his life! I'm sorry to be pouring out my feelings on you...you're the one that asked the question... but I totally feel you! My dr did put me on clomid which is to help me ovulate, maybe you should try it. Good luck to both of us.

I know how you feel when you say you want a baby so bad... Is it an option to lose weight and get pregnant.. they may say you can not do both, although as you lose weight it will give you better chances to get pregnant.. so I would say lose weight and try to get pregnant since you want to get pregnant bad.. and nobody really knows what that feels like until they have can't have a child and really want one! Do what will make you happy.. baby dust to both of us!!!

Please focus on being healthy yourself first before bringing a baby into this world. It is the best gift to your future child to be the healthiest most active Mom you can be. Don't put your life and babies health at risk just because you are impatient. If you focus on losing weight first it will make your pregnancy, delivery and caring of your infant that much easier. A healthy Mom creates a healthy baby and child. Please do the right thing and take care of yourself first.
