1. 10a-8=6a+24 the purpose of this problem is to leave a by itself. Step #1: put the integers on one side 10a-8=6a+24 +8 +8 (8 cancels out on the left side) 10a=6a+32 Step #2: put numbers with variable on the other side 10a=6a+32 -6a -6a (cancels the 6 on the right side) 4a=32 Step #3: divide the 8 on both sides to leave a by itself 4a=32 /4 /4 (the 4 cancels out and 32/4=8) a = 8 <---- your answer 2. 8-5(z+2) simplify to simply for this problem all you have to do is disribute (5) and add like terms 8 - 5 (z + 2 ) -5*z= -5z and -5*2= -10 8-5z-10 (plugged in now add like terms) -10+8 = -2 -2-5z or -5z-2 would be your answer same thing you can choose any of the 2. The slope of 2y=5x+4 To find the slope you have to try to leave y by itself. and the slope is the integers before the x 2y=5x+4 /2 /2 /2 (the 2 on the y cancels out) y= 5/2x+4/2 ^ I I-------- 5/2 is the slope last one 3ax+b=c leave x by itself on one side of the = sign 3ax+b=c -b -b 3ax=c-b /3a /3a x=c-b/3a <----- answer

essays in algebra are supposed to be in-existent
just write about descriptions of algebra, you can find them in introductions in algebra books, dictionaries and encyclopedias
