Twilight, new Moon, And Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer are the most Extraordinary, amazing and wonderful books on earth!! I love them so much, i couldn't live without them, they changed my life. I Never thought that I'd come across books like these, words can't describe how utterly amazing these books are ( just like Edward Cullen).

You might like these:

Looking for Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines by john green aren't a series but their really awesome books, they are a close favorite, but nothing can compare to Twilight.

A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels by Libba Bray is really good too. It's part fantasy, mystery, and romance. The Third one is coming out in December.

Abarat and the sequel Abarat Days of magic nights of war by Clive barker is an awesome series too, and i don't really like the sci-fi, but this is more fantasy/adventure.

Anything by Sarah Dessen, i love her books because it deals with real teenage situations today.

The uglies trilogy by Scott westerfield are also really good, and again i don't like sci-fi, but i really loved these books and the 4th is coming out soon.

Phanton Tollbooth
Madeline D'Engle series
Agatha Christie (these are tame, fun, quick reads)
Jackerooo (I loved this whole series at that age)
Some of the classics are perfect for this age - To Kill a Mockingbird, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Catcher in the Rye
Rebecca - Daphne Du Maurier
The Bell Jar
Gone with the Wind
A Separate Peace
Our Bodies Our Selves
Little Women
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm
Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry
The Heart is A Lonely Hunter
Sherlock Holmes
Laurie King series - on Sherlock Holmes and his great wife Mary Russell who is totally his equal and a great inspiring character

First and foremost, i insist on "Twiligh," "New Moon," and "Eclipse" by Stephenie Meyer. I promise you that you will LOVE them. They are my favorite books of all time. If you'd like more information on her books, you can visit
www.stepheniemeyer.com. Read these books in order; you'll get so much more from them that way.

Others I would recommend:
The Mediator series (by Meg Cabot)
Uglies/Pretties/Specials (all by Scott Westerfeld)
Tithe/Valiant (Holly Black)
A Great and Terrible Beauty/Rebel Angels (Libba Bray)

These are a bit "heavier", but you might want to give them a try:
Gone with the Wind (Margaret Mitchel)
To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee)

If you like girly books:
Gossip Girl series
The IT Girl series

Again, I REALLY recommend that you read "Twilight" and "New Moon" and the recently released sequel, "Eclipse." I guarantee that you'll fall in love with those books (as well as the main male character!). I hope this helps!

-The Mortal Instruments Series is good by Cassandra Clare (first book is City of Bones). The series is urban fantasy. -Try looking into authors like Sarah Dessen,Laurie Halse Anderson, or Chris Crutcher, Caroline B. Cooney for new books outside of a series. They are fantastic authors who write really well and you can check out the many different books they have written. My favorite Dessen is This Lullaby; my favorite Anderson is Speak and also Twisted; my favorite Crutcher is Downriver; and Cooney is Face on the Milk Carton - Classics like The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton or graphic novels like Rapunzels Revenge by Shannon and Dean Dale.

Go to Amazon.com and search
"Lost from Atlantis Book 1" - book 2 is coming out in the next month or two, and 3 is already written and in editing.
"Death by Murder David Lindsay" - you have to search that way for it to come up. There's a lot of sex and violence in it but it's good, not gratuitous. The post is 9 years old so it's okay.
and "Super Spaghetti."

They're free on Amazon's Kindle Unlimited, and you can Google how to get a free trial of that. And you can get a free Kindle app for your phone or just read them online.

And there was one called the Bronze Bow, but I can't remember who wrote it.

well i was never really into science-fiction vampire novels, but i started reading "twilight" and "new moon" and theyre both amazing books! you should really read them.

i also really enjoyed "fight club", "brave new world", "hairstyles of the damned", "perks of being a wallflower", "my life as a poser" and "The andy warhol diaries". all of them were amazing. flightclub, andy warhol and brave new world were a little tough because they had unfamilar vocab in it, but the rest were i think mtv books and they were really easy to read.
