It started happening during the summer of this year. There are these little flies that hover around my room and I dont know where they are coming from! I havent had fruit or food in my room in months, so I know thats not whats causing them. I also seem to notice them when Im sitting around my computer, they always fly around it.

:\ Whenever I kill one, its like another one appears an hour later. Theyre annoying me! What the heck are they and why wont they go away? :((

Also, its only one that usually appears at a time. Its not like a swarm or anything.

Flies are tough to identify. They can also be difficult to find where they spend their time when they are not in your face. There is a type of fly that occurs in the west know as face flies that are attracted to the moisture in your eyes(frequently seen around the faces of horses and cattle) They may originate outside and come in each time you come in. Even spilled water on a rug could be a place where eggs could be laid. Don't bother trying to find the eggs, their too small. If you are pretty sure they are not coming in with you from outside. Wait until you are so frustrated that you completely clean the house including washing the wall, and shampooing the carpets.

If you have anything sweet, or any type of fresh fruit that is rotting anywhere, there will be flies. I agree, it doesn't sound like fruit flies. They swarm. Do you leave a bath room window open? A kitchen door? Are there any holes in your screens? Anything like this might invite a wandering fly into your house. If they alwasy are around your computer, mabey theres a place they can get in nearby. In your bed room, mabey a bathroom window. Also, if your computer is in a warmer spot in the house, this may be why the flies are attracted there. Check all these spots. Good luck. (It's very annoying, I agree...to have flies in orbit around your head)

They are fruit flies and can come from just about anywhere but it's mainly rotting food. Check your room thoroughly.
