Okay, this movie is NOT the swan princess. I have been searching for months and after finding another person's question about the same cartoon (with no luck) I have decided to ask for myself. The cartoon has a princess who gets transformed into a Crane, Egret of White Heron. I cant remember which. The man she is in love with get turned into a Blue Heron. I remember in the movie they started out by saying something like "a blue heron and a white crane seen together is good luck" or something. Anyway they remain as birds helping lost sailors find their way back home or something. There was also this evil man who was after some sort of red crystal/diamond thing. He used it to change them into the birds. I think at the end they break the stone and destroy him or something. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I have googled every cartoon listing and I just cant find it!

Doesn't sond familiar to me, but I have a suggestion: go to don Markstein's Toonopedia. It is so much better for looking up toons and anime than wiki.
He has lots of entries and they are all in alphabetic order, so you will have to spend a little time looking for the title, but you will be so glad when you find it!
