I had my peroid for three months while i was pregnant with my second child. He is now 4 yrs old and I have met others that have had peroids while prego. I am not an expert but I would say take a really good bath cheaning real well (inside and out!) then take the test.

A couple of points. If you are having your period, it would be pointless. In addition, early testing often gives poor results. Now, I know you can seemingly be having a period yet still be pregnant. Wait until you stop mostly bleeding and take another test. I do not know if the blood will actually screw up the test or not, so best to wait until the bleeding stops.

No, but if you are having an actual period, which is the lining of the uterus is being disposed of, then you can't be pregnant, or you're having a miscarriage. You need the lining to sustain a pregnancy.

My first reaction--eeewwwww. Ok with that out of the way, I would wait until it dies down a little bit if you know what I mean. Wash yourself really well and go at it. Good luck to you.
