Humbug assert with YA.
(reality reminder: SSSR was a one-party dictatorship,
and no communism - "oligarchy" could come closest)

If it was communism, you could not ask that.

Merely call it anarchy.

Yahoo! is a corporation, like other corporations. (While Yahoo! Answers is free to users, it is supported by advertising -- users are the product that Yahoo! sells to the advertisers.) So, far from libertarian communism, Yahoo! and Yahoo! Answers are in fact an example of capitalism, a capitalist corporation in which a few have power. Yahoo! can arbitrarily remove questions and answers, ban users, or abuse its power in other ways.

This is a quotation from Lord Acton, in a letter to Bishop Mandell Creighton, 1887:

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."

William Pitt the Elder, also voiced a similar thought in a House of Lords speech in 1770:

"Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it; and this I know, my lords, that where laws end, tyranny begins."

Capitalism and Communism are two extremes.Capitalism is ownership by few individuals.Communism owner ship by people ,in fact turned out to be ownership by a few in the Govt.!Communism in its original form failed in USSR,where it started. All other communists from China ,India etc are for more liberalised economy and less control.I have no appreciation for liberian communism also as it has failed to improve the general condition of the people.

In fact the word Capitalism has lost its meaning of ownership by few capitalists.Modern Capitalists ie,multinational companies are not owned by a FEW but owned by MILLIONS OF share holders.

Sounds like a European Union-esque government. They're a small group of bureaucrats with near-limitless power over their citizens. I don't want that. That's why I live in America.

And I'm pretty sure "Libertarian Communism" doesn't exist. Thanks for trying.

Too few posters even know what libertarian communism is.

Personally, I'm no fan of the Platform, and suggest more mutualist and collectivist approaches; however, I'd prefer *any* libertarian socialism to capitalism.

Yes, limitless power in the hands of a very few is at the heart of the Soviet-style communism practiced here - read my bio.
