Manual transmissions do not have dip-sticks. They are sealed units. The way you check the fluid level is (with the car level) by removing the filler bolt (under the gearbox) and stick your finger in. The oil level should just touch the bottom of your finger.

Only an automatic tranny will have a dipstick.

No. Manual transmissions do not have fluid dipsticks. They do have fill plugs in the side of the trans, but you would not normally have to fill the transmission unless there was a serious leak.

The next time the car needs an oil change, ask your mechanic to check the oil level in your trans for you.

No dipstick-- screw in plug on the side of transmission.
Use a syphon gun to remove as much fluid as you replace.

To check level put finger in hole, if you can feel fluid it's full.

handbook ? there is not any dipstick on a handbook. take the best plug out on the area, stick your finger in the hollow. in case you get grease on your finger then it,s complete sufficient. automated? you ought to take it to the storage to have it checked.
