Have you thought about doing something on the Head Start program? You might want to check it out in your area and see if there's a class near your school. If so, you could do research on the program, and maybe volunteer some time in the classroom to see what goes on there. It's an amazing program that serves young, at-risk children and their families, and it often makes a huge difference in the long-term outcomes for these children. If you like the idea, check your phone book for Head Start or talk to your adviser to see if he/she can help you locate the program in your area.

You could do a survey project. Something like relative grades for the kids in the different categories you listed. Privacy rules might hinder you on that. Maybe something on foster care success stories. You always here so much negative news. You could talk to people over 18 so the privacy thing wouldn't be an issue.

How about the benefits of Early Intervention (birth-to-three programs) for children with Developmental Disabilities. You should be able to get information from your state's Dept. Of Developmental Disability (health department) and the state or local chapter of ARC.

As the mom to a child with Down syndrome, I can attest to the amazing results of these programs for our kids!!!

These are all really good topics. I work in the disabilities field so am partial to autism and down syndrome. You might also look at something like fragile x syndrome or cerebal palsy. Here is a link for some good info:

I merely desire to indicate out that "Lolita" isn't approximately baby abuse. in case you examine any severe essays on it i think of you will see that Nabakov's ingredient became into to not portray a baby molester. I want human beings does not purely latch directly to the floor subject matter of a e book without questioning heavily approximately what the author is extremely attempting. Humbert is the necessary unreliable narrator and as such not something he says may well be relied on. "No Language yet a Cry" by using Richard D'Ambrosio is probably not approximately sexual abuse, in spite of the shown fact that that could be a classic approximately baby abuse frequently. It describes his quest as a psychiatrist to entice out a woman who has been made mute and unresponsive by using the feared scientific care she gained by using her parents.

Before calling child CPS you need to consider what will happen if they get taken away from their parents.
Go over and talk to the parents and offer them your help before getting a government agency that is above the law to to investigate.

CPS is evil, they act like they are trying to help, but they only destroy families!!!

What about children learning sign language to help them when they have special needs?

Communication is a huge problem for kids with special needs, and we are learning that sign language really greatly reduces frustration, and gives kids even more hope for getting on with others.
