Just in preparation for the place freezing over in case of a World Series win?

OK, I admit... I'm being optimistic.

Nah, getting into the playoffs is not that difficult anymore. The Cubs have only gone 3 years without winning the division, so that does not impact the weather in hell too much.
It will become a cold day in hell if they actually win the NL pennant, which they have not done since 1945.

It will only start snowing in hell if the Cubs win the World Series, which they have not done since 1908.

PS - are you tring to jinx the Cubs by saying that they are in the playoffs already? They still have a chance to blow it, and they have been known to do things like that before.

As a Red Sox fan, I can say that hell officially froze over for the first time in 2004 when they humiliated the hapless Yankees, and then took the crown by sweeping the mighty Cardinals...

There may be a flurry about now, but unless they can pull off the miracle and win the whole thing, expect a thaw...

Hmmm I doubt it. If I have learned one thing its that god has a sense of humor and is very twisted about it. I believe He is going to let the Cubs go to the World series just to watch them lose. He will then drink the tears of the crying Cubs fans as he then laughs uncontrollably. Trust me I'm from Cleveland he loves doing this.

Um, they aren't in the playoffs yet. Brewers are still close. And if they go, good for them. They have played well when they needed to (no, not as well as teams like the Yankees but hey, they are getting closer to the playoffs) so that's all that matters.
