billions of years from now. I won't be alive nor will my children's children be alive. So it does not mean anything to me.

The end of the world... touchy subject my friend. Some say the world is already over, war, crime violence. But somehow, we are still held together, but by what. As childish as this sounds, a smile makes a huge difference. At anybody you can smile, and most times they smile back. The only thing better than a smile is laughter. The feelings you get when you get laughter, and it's just to contagious. When laughter and happiness are gone, it will be the end of the world.
For what do you live for? Why do people work? To provide for their families, to see them happy....
I can guarantee the world won't end until I die, because I always have laughter to provide.
Peace! lol....

It has a dual meaning to me, both the ultimate Apocalypse at the end of all the ages, and my immediate confrontation of that reality the moment of my death. Death means the cessation of consciousness and change, void of space and time which are categories thereof in the human mind and soul. If that's not the End of the World I don't know what is, but there is much I do not know as yet. I guess we'll eventually find out all together.

I can't even imagine what the end of "my" world would be. Nor would I want to. I can only think of the end of the world, as the destruction of planet earth, & I don't think I'll be here to see it.

The end of the world is the moment we realize that the fairytale paradise of childhood was exactly that. And we are then BORN AGAIN into the world of adulthood, where we have to take responsibility for our actions, instead of daddy/god.

Oh many things such as when my shoe isn't tied or when I try breathing, or step on a leaf and hear it crack under my feet, or when I am perfectly healthy or when a politicain get elected to office I think those are all signs of the end of the world.
