I knew it was a horrid decision now it's starting to show. AJ Smith fired Marty only because of their personal disputes. He is a sleazy man who lets his emotions comprimise his business decisions.
FIRE NORV "THE SISSY" TURNER NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Chargers players are confused and without a true leader. This is going to ruin their season and the chance at a Superbowl. They have all the players all they need is one competent coach.
Is that too much to ask?

The Chargers were laughing stocks prior to Marty...and 14-2 wasn't good enough for AJ.
Bet he'd be happy with 14-2 at the end of this season.
Marty should go to the Raiders, because he "Just win's, baby", like they USED to.

Its not Norv. This is Marty's team and they miss him. Norv wants to head coach and he is not picking jobs that best suit his talents, he's taking any job that will take him. Atlanta would have been the job for Norv. A team with no identity and no direction that he could build.
The Chargers organization made the exact mistake Washington made with Marty; just when he got the team to buy into his system (and thus win), management steps in and pulls the rug on Marty. Now management expects a different coach to guide Marty's team to victory. Don't wait on it. It won't happen. The window will close and this team will not have achieved half of what they were capable of.

i think of that's somewhat disingenuous to declare that he "permit Cam Cameron and Wade Phillips get away for (sic) different communities." those adult males LEFT to different communities simply by fact they have been presented head education jobs. that's unfair responsible Smith simply by fact they left. Secondly, that's no longer real that the Chargers have made any "develop right into a clean device." the recent coaches have stored an identical platforms as final 12 months on the two facets of the ball. for my area, i do no longer think of Marty became an excellent loss. i think of Cameron and Phillips have been the massive losses. Marty did no longer call performs, he did no longer layout the device, he did no longer relatively do lots in any respect. Cameron and Phillips have been the significant coaches, and as I already suggested, you are able to no longer blame Smith for his or her departures. i think of for this reason Smith fired Marty; Marty relatively did no longer try this lots simply by fact he delegated all significant initiatives to his assistants, who had already left the corporate for head education jobs someplace else. you would be a moron to hearth Smith. he's the guy who traded Eli Manning for Shawne Merriman and Philip Rivers. There could be no expectancies for the Chargers to play nicely without Smith making sensible judgements to get between the main proficient rosters interior the league. the expectancies for the Chargers could probably be below the expectancies for the Raiders if the Chargers did no longer have Smith. be conscious: it became relatively Smith's deceased mentor, John Butler, who traded Michael Vick for LaDanian Tomlinson and different gamers.

The Chargers were knocked out of the playoffs by the Patriots. It cost Marty his job. Hmmmm, I wonder if Bill was taping that day. He was caught by Green Bay earlier last year.

Firing Schottenhemeir was a terrible move. How do you fire a coach who took your team to an NFL best 14-2, and replace him with a coach with a career losing record?Where's the logic in that?

Good job saying something after the fact.
The fact is: AJ Smith brought all that talent there. No one else. Best GM in the league and just a bad coaching crop, especially so late, that year.
You're Ignorant.

They used to have a coach who couldn't win in the playoffs, so they needed to find someone who couldn't win during the regular season.
