I once broke my ring finger. Even under medical care it didn't heal to 100% normal, there is a slight angle noticeable when compared to my other hand. It mostly affected my typing as I would end up slightly hitting the key next to the "s." I just retrained myself. Unless your finger is really causing you trouble, you probably want to leave it alone. Why take the risk of an orthopedic specialist tyring to correct it when it might not turn out as you want (or even worse). But it wouldn't hurt to consult one and get an opinion on it.

First, get off the Internet and go to a doctor, where you then can get an x-ray of your hand. You may have broken the finger, or damaged the bursa/synovial sac (the padding between the bones), or even tore the ligament. Immobilization will be the first thing to do, and then take an anti-inflammatory drug. Then possibly, depending on the severity of the damage, go to physical therapy to rehab the finger so it works normally again. GO TO A DOCTOR!!

Without having a doctor examine it and evaluate it, nobody can say for sure. No medical professional is going to make a diagnosis or judgment over the web like this.
The best anyone can say is, "It's possible. Take your finger to your doctor and ask".

My boyfriend has this same problem, but rather than having a surgery to re break it, and let it heal allover again, he prefers to keep it that way because it doesn't affect him at all. The only problem he has with it is that he can't straighten it completely. If it doesn't bother you other than aesthetically, and you are fine with it, leave it be.

Go see your doctor, sometimes, yes, broken bones can be re-broken and repaired. But do see your doctor for advice about this.

you can...I did this myself to my right ring finger, however when I went to the doc to get it fixed...they told me so long as I could use it and had no problems, they recommended that I didn't have the surgery to rebreak and set the bones...

Experienced doctors can rebreak it and set it in the right place.
We can rebuild it. Make it better, stronger, faster... =P

An Orthopedic specialist could put it right again. You are right, though, it might require a re-break so it could be set properly. Please, leave that decision up to a professional, though.
