Ah 1986, the best World Cup ever.
Incidentally, the French player, Luiz Fernandez was featured. He was my favourite French player of that era, ahead even of Michel Platini and Jean Pierre Papin.

All the players on the France national team are French, maybe not all by birth, but what's wrong with that? Most of them are descendants of African immigrants from countries that were under French control.
If you're a citizen of a country, you're entitled to represent them in international matches, if you're good enough and get selected.
