Nope, not at all. That's why I don't understand the stuff that I see on YA. I don't know who these people are or where they live but I'm beginning to think that it's the company they keep and the places that they frequent that are the problem, not other races. Grew up in GA and didn't run into any problems there nor has my brother or my parents so you can't just say it's a problem with the south. Live in just outside of DC in VA (down North) now and still don't have any problems.

The news is always going to buy into the situation because it's gets them ratings which gets them profit. Whatever sells is what they'll air even if it's misleading and to the detriment of the nation. I think tensions will increase all around as the elections get closer. Both groups will seek to exploit the fears of their constituents and this will include inflaming already poor race relations but never fear, there will still be plenty of vitriol to go around.

I live in Louisiana and with the whole Jena Six fiasco there is a bit of racial tensions now. But, I'm hopeful that we'll recover and it will get better. 2D

I live in the heart of a truly bigoted town; the land is gorgeous but the people are truly the worst by far where I've ever lived and experienced racism, so yes, I do live in a sickening area full of hatemongering filth. They even violate your rights to due process in the court system here --- why? Because you're Black and yes you're an American but you don't have the same rights whites do to bring any lawsuit against a white person or business because, well because, you're Black and "that's just not the way we do things here".

Blah...these folks here WILL NOT, and I repeat, WILL NOT get any better. The racial tension will continue until the day they are removed from the face of the earth come Armageddon. That's the only thing that will cure their insaciable appetite for hate and bigotry.

I am not political but if someone does take the presidency, I hope it's Barack as we certainly do need change in America. How stupid and ridiculous it is for year after year, decade after decade, century after century that only white males (or so they only reveal they are white but -----shhhhh--- could be Black, Indian, or Hispanic, etc., but never tell a soul---shhhhh), have only been presidents?

Such a sick, twisted, demented, bigoted, unfair, hypocritial society we live in. Will the tension get worse, of course. What else is happening that lend anyone to believe it won't get worse?

Trust...

Yes because of what has happened in the past with the Black votes and Cynthia Mckinney. I'm pretty sure it will happen again, but in a different way with a different excuse.

I live in West Palm Beach and maybe it's just me, but it seems as if everyone gets along pretty fair. Theres an equal amount of all races here so we all get along well. Although there is racism everywhere you go, I don't notice it much. Black people love me anyway. =D
