It actually is the study of beetles and weevils but ....what do you reckon?

I thought it might be the science of giving someone a black eye.

Just glancing I was going to say the study on some sort of prehistoric creature, possibly something kin to a flying lizard or on those lines. I'll have to drag out the science books again.
Coleo, I wasn't sure about.
But Pter has something to do with flying creatures
And ology is the study of.
And I knew there wasn't any flying colons,
but can you imagine
the mess that they could make.

Crossbred, perhaps the study of the black eye
given / received BY beetles and/or weevils.

If I could be so BOWLed. (great cole/coal play!)
