an hour or 2 hour long drive will be fine, remember wild turtles don't spend every waking second in the sun only 6-8 hours in the morning and evening.are you taking the turlte with you? if so just place him in a small carboard box(if he's aquatic line the box with damp paper towels) don't bother with food or water during the drive, your turtle won't be interested.

an hour or two is fine

tortoises survive the whole night without the UV dont they!

but before you bring him out make sure he gets his morning bask and try and be back for his evening bask.

sun light is a far better uv emmitter than any UV bulb so dont worry about taking him out for an hour or two but make sure hes comfortable!

1. They generally need about 15 minutes a day of good sun-based UVB, or an hour a day of bulb-based.

2. Keep traveling to a bare minimum. The vibrations and movement are stressful.
