I thought I was a goner once.
I was knee boarding in a lake with my then b/f and his best friend, and I hit a wave and let go of the rope and was knocked over. My knees were strapped to the board and I was upside down in the water, I was struggling to poke my head up for some air, I couldn't reach the strap to free my knees. Finally after what seemed like a long time (mere seconds probably) the boat came back and I was helped out of the water. It was very scary!

When I was 14 years old, (please keep in mind I don't remember any of this) I was standing on a back bumper of a friends car, and we were going about 25 mph, and they say I suddenly couldn't breath, and I fell off hitting the paved road face 1st. And, they said the doctor said I cracked my skull open, and had a large bump on my forehead. I was in the hospital for a few days, and the funny thing is, all I would eat was ice cream. I missed about a month of school, so I had a lot of catching up to do. I recovered 100%, and I thank God i'm not paralyzed. And I can tell you one thing is for sure, I learned my lesson.

Yes, I have. With the birth of my first child, I had an emergency C-section. The made the incision but I they didn't cut it big enough. They pushed on my breast bone to "pop" my daughter out (that is what they told me) and when she did, she ripped some things coming out. I was in surgery another 3 hours as they were trying to control the bleeding. I survived (of course) and now that baby is 17 1/2 years old and I have 2 others...

i think i did....
i was once at a pool in the summer at a 30,000 dollar camp. i was swimming, the next thing i knew i was underwater. i couldn`t swim up so i panicked. i eventually got up and i was fine. the odd thing is that i don`t remember anything before the underwater part even minutes after i got out
the other story...
i was in my father`s maybach and we were driving to the maybach dealer to get keyboards for the monitors behind the seats. so on the way there the maybach got into a crash. bad bad one! we collided with a barrier and the next thing we know we were thrown off the George Washington bridge. we were in the water and all the windows were locked and we couldn`t get out. we were saved and the maybach is still in the bay.

Gee! Yeah, a couple of times, but nothing so dramatic as that!! Wow. Glad you're here to tell the story!
Mine... One was in a Doctor's office... I had a BAD reaction to a shot I was given for my sinus infection. (The Doctor tried to tell me it was a "psycogenic reaction to the pain of receiving the shot." ) What??? I have a different doctor now.... ;)
And, just recently, I woke up in the ER.. seems I had a kidney stone blocking the kidney from draining.... if I had been home alone, I would have not survived, according the the Doctor that dealt with the kidney drainage, and ultimately pulverized the stone...I love him sooo much.... Minus 1; Plus 1 . Doctors are even-up in my scorebook now! Thanks for asking, (I bet you won't do THAT again for awhile...!) }:>

last summer i went to Kolob Canyon in Utah. we were on our way back, when a storm came. it rained and stormed and we were 6000 feet above ground. so i really thought i would get struck by lightning. then we had to cross a creek which was about 6 inches deep at the time. but when my mom tried to cross, it ,she yelled at me up ahead and asked how to get across. i said "what do you mean-" the water had raised about 5 feet in a matter or 5 second. if i would have been a few step s behind, i could have been swept by the river. it had full grown trees and huge boulders in it, so there would have no escaping. then an avalanche happened right behind us, and we were very lucky that THAT didnt kill us. so we had to wait an hour before the rivers were shallow enough to cross. By shallow i mean 3 feet. i really thought i would die that day.

when i was about 5 or 6 i didnt know how to swim yet..yeah i no sad -.-' but lol..well i was on vacation in north carolina or north dakota or something lol
and i met a friend there. we wanted to see who can swim across to the deep end first. why didnt i say no? idk, i was a big dumb azz then lol maybe i was ashamed of it lol
well i started jumping off of the pool floor across but it got pretty deep, so i couldnt even jump to get a little air. so i was trying to jump as high as i could to get the most air as poosible, but ive been jumping so much and i was exausted so i was starting to close =[ my eyes. until this man helped me, he picked me up, and put me on the side of the floor. i was completely frightened and was couphing non stop! i havent forgotten how that man had saved my life. god bless him! i now am cautious of how i can die any second and stuff. and you know ive had so many of those small moments where i slip and almost crack my head open on something hard but miraculously grab onto something with my lousy hand - eye coordination! lol or someone catches me or something lol. but i am so grateful how many times ive been saved!!!!!!!!!!!! lol! =]

Yes, I was in poverty with no health care and little food money. I became malnourished and caught double bacterial pneumonia. I finally made it to the hospital, where the anti biotic Keflex saved my life.
The doctor was angry with me for waiting so long. He said I would have died within 24 hours if I had not acted.
