My friend has strep and a cold, and I dono I have heard from some people if you take a shot of Jack Daniels it gets magically true and helps....is it true or false?

Jack Daniels doesn't cure anything, but it can make you feel better about pretty much anything.

Can't speak for ol' Black Jack, but I find Southern Comfort helps with coughs and sore throats. It's not a miracle cure by any means, but it usually stops my coughs and takes the edge off a sore throat.

It definitely would make him feel better and help him sleep.
My f-i-l was an old mexican, and he swore by his "cough medicine" made of lemon, honey & a jigger of tequila.
