ive been on the pill about a year now and everythings fine. We have had unprotected sex a few times but with the pull out method. I know that birth control isnt 100% safe, would it be ok to use spermicide gel or foam but still use the pull out method.

THE PULL OUT METHOD IS NOT A METHOD!

the only disadvantage of the pill is that it will push hormones into your body. There should be no need to pull out since it is almost 100%. I know of people who use the jell and the only complaint is that u have to insert in before any type of activity and that can be done then wait a few minutes and that can blow the moment.

Yes, you can use that as a back up method, but if you are taking the pill as directed there is really no need. Those gels are burn, etc, you may not like them. You may want to try the film one, that is very comfortable, it dissolves with no mess, but you need to wait 15 mins.

Sure. It wouldn't hurt, unless he's allergic. Just added protection. There are also condoms with spermicide lubricant available.

The gels work fine, but they still do not protect against STDS.
