That is the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego where they refused to worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar put up. He made a proclamation that whenever they heard the coronet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery and dulcimer and all kinds of music would ring that everyone should bow down and worship the golden image, which these three refused to do. They were bound and thrown into the fiery furnace that was so hot that it killed the guards when they opened the door. King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste and said, "Did I not throw three men into the fire? Behold I see four men walking around in the fire and are not hurt. The fourth is like the son of God". When he went and checked on them and told them to come forth and when they came out of the furnace they didn't have the smell of fire on them and they weren't burned at all, and even their hair showed no signs of being singed, becuase God was with them.

Nebuchadnezzar had Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednego thrown into the white hot furnace because they would not bow down to the golden statue he set up when they heard the musical instruments play.
