I would try a shop-vac followed by a good shampooing.

First, get the excess soup off the carpet with a towel. Don't rub just dab as much as you can. Then using a clean dry bath towel or a rag folded in 2 or 4, place over the damp area. Then use the hose of your vacuum and vacuum the carpet spill thru the towel holding the towel firmly to the ground. The towel will absorb the moisture while the vacuum sucks it up.
Then spray carpet with water or mild detergent or carpet clean soap and repeat for a good clean result.
Else use a wet vacuum if you have one.

Oh i just did the same thing, except i work in a freaking law firm! Just hold a manilla folder over it until its gone, thats what im doing. Or if you spilled super glue down your pants call the company and ask for money for surgery and new pants. And if its acid, well, ur retarded. Yup, thats it, oh and by the way, HA! I hope ama and apa dont see it.
