Yeah I don't see why not! If you left a blank, they would be quite likely to come to wrong conclusions about the missing years of your working life, ie, prison.

You can put "Family Reasons" or "personal time". They aren't allowed to ask about it during an interview and it still explains why there is a gap.

On a resume? Yes. Just tell them that you took time off to raise your child or children. A lot of companies realize that happens so it is not a big deal. Just make sure that you apply for family friendly jobs...ones that don't get upset if you have to call out if you have a sick child, or a doctor's appointment for your child.

I had a 5 yr gap after I had my daughter:) I put : Household Manager.

Abso-friggin-lutely! Any place that won't accept that, you probably don't want to be working anyway. Homemaking is generally considered a job in and of itself, so, as long as that's really the reason, go for it.
