No Jeering or personal attacks,or throwing things at him,or the myriad of things that happen anytime a "Conservative" speaker is invited to a college these days.

So the leader of a Terrorist Sponsoring nation is treated with more respect than someone speaking about Immigration? Wow are these people screwed up!!

What do you expect form those scumbags at Columbia. The only free speech they believe in is their own left wing drivel. They're a bunch of cowards.

"No Jeering or personal attacks,or throwing things at him,or the myriad of things that happen anytime a "Conservative" speaker is invited to a college these days."

Any evidence of this accusation you make?

I didn't think so.

The students and facility listened and for the most part disagreed with Ahmadinejad. But I guess you want to believe otherwise.
Quit being such a stool and grow up and learn to think for yourself, something those at Columbia are in the process of learning.

I would only applaude the president of Iran if i agreed and could back it up with facts. I don't understand anyone that would protest free speech in america or people who want to defend our borders from an obvious invasion of our country! We're stuck in a propaganda war and our media doesn't help us find the truth. So we have to go out and find it.

I do think the students should think about how they treated Ahnmadinejad verses a conservative speaker. I'm glad they showed respect - we don't need to have our students out of control. But I do think it would be only honorable for them to be consistent. I also thin they should re-invite the speaker on immigration and hear him out.

Ahmadinejad didn't answer most of the question put to him. He railed about the Palestines.... and said they love all Jews. All the students have to do is get the news video's and they can hear what he really feels right out of his mouth. He did not answer truefully, in regard to, blowing Israel off the face of the map. He is a hard-liner, and he is not as open as he presented. Students are young and easy to impress. I suggest they look at history and see how he was talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Yea. How dare those liberals support the criticism of Ahmadinejad.

"Mr. President, you exhibit all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator," Bollinger said, to loud applause.

He said Ahmadinejad's denial of the Holocaust might fool the illiterate and ignorant.

"When you come to a place like this it makes you simply ridiculous," Bollinger said. "The truth is that the Holocaust is the most documented event in human history."

Most students who got in were liberals. There were many students who wanted to get inside but were not allowed. But if some of us who were protesting outside were allowed in, you would have heard more boos than claps.

I remember when the minuteman members were here - the panel was closed down due to liberal students throwing tantrums.

What's funny is, it sounds like a lot of opinion on these responses are based on what the government is telling us about him. How terrible he is and Iran is building nuclear weapons, etc.
Sounds familiar...what was his name? Oh yea, Saddam something or other. Is it possible the Iranian president is looking out for his own people and just because WE as a nation do not like it or agree with it, does that make it bad?

"I'm sorry. the students at Columbia are highly educated professionals, not trailer park idiots like you."

Yes, their actions several months ago for an anti-Illegal speaker was so educated and enlightened.

Agreed. Let him do his free speaking in Iran, where he's about the only person allowed to speak freely.
