Are you about to start your period? I get sad feeling when it's that time of month for me.
I wouldn't go that drastic as to say that you are depressed. I have "down" days where I just feel sad and it's nothing in particular. Now, if you find yourself being sad all the time and it has been for a long period of time, then I would consider looking inward to see what it is that would be maiking yourself that way (and yes, in that case, I would say that you are depressed)

Depression is an overused term. However, feeling sad is normal. We are human beings with feelings. When we feel sad, whether it's every day or every once in awhile, we need to know that it's okay to feel down. Too often we are getting the message that it's not good to feel bad. On the other hand, our feelings may also be an indicator that something needs to change. Get out and do something different. Break out of any boring routine and find something to get excited about. Hang out with uplifting people. You are the only one who can make yourself happy. You just have to choose to be happy. And for the record, there is no pill or medication that can cure the blues. Happiness is found within.

It could be several things. You should see your doctor and let them know of any medications you are taking that might be causing this. Birth control for example may cause depression. Than from there, if you are suffering from depression your doctor can recommend you to a psychologist/psychiatrist or meds, but in the mean time, try to take yourself out of this negative state of mind by doing things you enjoy rather than your normal daily routine. For example, after work, take a long walk at a park with a friend. Maybe things like that could help remove the negative emotions you're feeling and help relieve you from any stress or cloudiness in your mind. Thats good you pay close attention to your body and mind. At least if you do have a problem, you know it unlike some people.

This happened to me before, too. I remember this one day, all I wanted to do was lay on the couch and mope. I was so sad for no reason at all. But the phase passed, and now I'm sooo happy! =D Your condition may or may not be a phase. If it is, just try to do good things that make you happy. Spend time with the people you love.Think about what it is that you're sad about, and find ways that you can make it better, or fix it. If it is not a phase, and the sadness either continues or gets worse, i would talk to a doctor. They may be able to prescribe medication (if its depression) or even a counselor. Feel better!

do you feel like this all the time or just now and then? all the time, then it would be a good idea to talk to your doc about it. but use antidepressant's as a LAST resort. talk to a therapist first. you might not even need to take drugs if you can talk it through. if its only now and again then it may well be to do with your menstrual cycle, keep a diary of when you feel sad and compare it. also look to see if its a full moon or close to like it is now! after all they dont call them lunatics for nothing! not that your a lunatic! lol
i always feel a bit wierd around this time of the month.

Some people go through times in there lives when it seems like nothing can go right. It's normal to be depressed sometimes, and it happens to everyone. If it's been a week since you have last smiled then maybe you should go to your family doctor and ask them what they think. Sometimes just talking helps. There will be brighter days in your future, don't worry and good luck.

Go out and do something nice for someone. Try not to think about yourself and your problems this afternoon. If you still feel bad tomorrow, then talk to your pastor or a counselor.

It could be. It could also be one of several other things, and in any case the only way you'll get a reasonable diagnosis is by consulting your doctor. And you really should do that.
