I hear you, you're preaching to the choir here!

It is hard, and having medical intervention to try and conceive feels like a failure on some level. Remember, many women conceive that have PCOS. I have it too, and the day my doctor diagnosed me I cried the entire day on and off, just sooooo upset and hurt that I have something that can prevent me from conceiving a child. I feel so bad about having PCOS, it does make you feel like less of a woman at times. I just wish that my husband and I could just try naturally and see what happens. I hate monthly appointments, exams, prescriptions, testing, and waiting. The added pressure of time limits on fertility medication makes it hard for me not too focus on conceiving, knowing it is a conceive "or else" type of situation.

Has your doctor done a progesterone serum blood test to make sure that you are ovulating while on Clomid? Are you charting or using ovulation test strips to help you figure out when you're ovulating so you can time intercourse appropriately? I understand how hard it is, and I use ovulation test strips to help me know each month when I ovulate. I will ovulate anywhere from CD 18 - CD 21 while on Clomid.

The best advice that I can give you is to educate yourself as much as possible about PCOS and getting pregnant with PCOS. There is a great website called http://www.soulcysters.com and it hasso much information about PCOS, plus a refernce page where you can find books about PCOS and order them online. Gain knowledge, and don't hesitate to ask your OBGYN questions relating to your health, and medications tyo help you conceive a child.

I wish you the best of luck, and send you lots of baby dust!!! I'll keep you in my prayers!

Your first question isn't so simple to answer in a short email. If you want to discuss it, then you can email me (in profile). The second question: It can become easier, but there's the old adages of "it gets worse before it gets better" and "no pain, no gain" -- don't expect it to get easier overnight. It takes learning, experience, hard-won lessons. There's no book that will do it, no advice anyone can give you that will be a "magic bullet" to end your pains. It takes experience. Just like getting out of school and working in some field or on an internship or apprenticeship. The thing to do is just keep working at it, and you will find a workable solution. The wrong thing to do is quit or do nothing at all.

I have PCOS and also TTC for 4-1/2 years before finally conceiving. Clomid never worked for me. I took it 5 times and never ovulated on it. Many PCOS women are Clomid resistant. I would highly recommend moving onto injectable fertility drugs now. I took them twice (Gonal-F) and ovulated on them both times. On our second round of Gonal-F, we also did an IUI and conceived.

My heart breaks for you. I know how awful infertility is. Best of luck and please feel free to send me a message if you need to talk.

I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. It took us 4 years to get pregnant the first time so I understand the feelings of frustration and hopelessness. It is so easy to forget while ttc that it will happen according to His timing, not ours.Bless you honey, I hope you can find peace... And conceive a baby!

He is absolutely hearing your prayers.. Keep your faith.

First of all you got to relax. I know it is easy said that done, but you got to do your best to take it easy. I am in the same situation. I am ttc for 15 months and me and my husband is what we both will make us happy (having a baby). I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet but just high level of FSH. However I want to tell you to just keep hoping. Do not give up. And your weight is perfectly fine. I am 5'1" and 145 lb. So take deep breaths and believe in yourself.

Maybe God doesn't think it's the right time for you to get pregnant or doesn't want you to have kids.
