no i dont think that it would work because there is some sort of country code on the CD that can recognise the country and so it can only play on the american console and not the uk one sorry :(

No, you can't. Wii consoles are region-locked to one of three territories: Japan, the US and Europe. If you own a UK Wii, then, only games released in the European region will play on it.

The DS, however, is region-free - any game will play on any DS regardless of what region it comes from. Unfortunately, this is not the case with the Wii.

No its not possible as all nintendo wii consoles are Region Encoded. Uk/europe consoles play PAL games. American/Canadian consoles play NTSC games. Japanese play NTSC games.

Until someone like Datel bring out a Freeloader you cant play NTSC games on a PAL Wii console.

Games are coming out alot quicker nowadays though anyways usually 2 weeks or so after U.S get them.

Hope this helps :)

sorry to prove the others wrong but my wii is from japan and it plays american games. nintendo games are different than sony. sony has made locks encrypted on their disks so they only play in certain regions. nintendo didnt yet so all the games i have work fine.
