If you have to ask......you probably do.
Beliefs and behaviors related to self-esteem are divided into eight sections. The eight areas of self-esteem are as follows:
1. Procrastination - Is low self-esteem causing you to put off doing things that are most important to you?
2. "Shoulds" - Do you need a relentless moral list to dictate your every move?
3. Rigidity - Do you live in a rut because you are too afraid of failing?
4. Overgeneralization, Global Labels & Polarized Thinking - Does low self-esteem cause you to catastrophize and use the worst labels you can think of?
5. Self-blame and Personalization - Is everything your fault and everyone out to get you?
6. Shyness - Is your fear of being judged by others keeping you from making new friends?
7. Relationships - Is low self-esteem keeping you from having meaningful relationships?
8. Self-acceptance - Does rejection of who you are have you in an adversarial relationship with yourself?
In our daily lives, it becomes increasingly difficult to decipher our positive attributes, and even more difficult to pinpoint the areas which need attention. This test is designed to help you focus on problem areas in order to correct your self-image and express your true inner self.

If U are not happy with yourself and are constantly
questioning yourself in a negative way, then you've prob got
low self-esteem. Learn to appreciate yourself for the unique
person that you are, everybody is special, and you are
special too. Don't pay any attention to people who try to bring
you down, or idiots who want to upset you. Tell yourself: if
they have to go around treating other people like that, they
have a big problem, they deserve your pity. Rise above
those people, every a negative thought comes into your
head, turn it around into a positive one (oooh, look at the rain,
it's going to be a miserable day today/ooh! i love the rain, i
wonder if i'll see a rainbow) lol

Have a look at this:-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/conditions/mental-health/emotion-esteem.shtml
If you think you may have a problem with low self-esteem, keep telling yourself the following;-
'You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold. That is how important you are. (Eckhart Tolle).
Never forget that you are a child of the universe - no less than the trees and the stars.
If you get any abusive answers on here, take them with a pinch of salt - and smile.
Good luck to you.

you have low self esteem if you constantly are down on your self, if you hang around the wrong crowd, if you cannot stand up for yourself, if you want to do something but think you can't because you are not good enough

You can't think positively about yourself. You never feel you've done the right thing. You worry about what other's think. You avoid social contact. You basically shy away from life.
Not to mention feeling like everything you do isn't good enough. A horrible way to exist.

If you constantly put yourself down.... think you are rubbish and no good. Never acknowledge or recognise anything you achieve or do.... find it hard to accept complements. Think you are rubbish and have to work twice has hard as everyone else just to achieve half as much.
