Yesterday I had some bright-red blood spotting and thought my period started a week early (it is not due until the 30th). However, the spotting didn't last for longer than one hour, basically it was more like a one-time discharge of red blood.
My basal temperature is low (36.6 celcius) which is also weird... I'm pretty sure I ovulated about a week ago and the temperature should be higher.
Any insights? What can be possible causes of spotting+low temp a week before period is due?

Ovulation can sometimes have spotting occur, but stress can also be a factor (something I have experience with). I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
