Why don't you ask him, Kea Kea? The REAL question is: how do YOU feel about HIM? If you like him, I'd ask him if that's what he's working on becasue you're feeling the feeling! Take SOME of the pressure off of him by trying that if that's the case. Then, let him proceed with his "mack" proposal. You've got to see how much game he has, on his own, after all. No punks allowed :-)

Well it's hard to say without being there personally but it sure sounds like it,either that or he is just a sweet guy who wants to help you out,if you are interested in him,and nothing is stopping you then go for it.:)However he might just like you as a friend and enjoys your company that's why he is willing to do what you ask.
