Nineteen = Nine - Teen. The teen is where we get teenager from. So, Yes. Though not a child or minor the 19 year old is an Adult.

I am nineteen but I live away from home, pay my own bills, and take responsibility for myself. I am a student but I regard myself as an adult, I have met more irresponsible and juvenile 25 year olds, so I consider myself a mature adult. It depends on the individual, I don't see any point in being pedantic and saying because it has the word 'teen' in it you are still a teenager. It is down to the individual and how developed they are.

Yes. Just like a person in their 20s in anyone between 20 and 29, a teenager is anyone between thirTEEN and nineTEEN. Whether they're adults or not is an entirely different question.

In name only. Reality is, at least in legal terms, a nineteen year old is an adult. A person may not feel like an adult at 19, but if he or she does something egregiously against the law, he or she will find out soon enough, that yes, he or she is an adult.

Pretty much yes...an upper level one but with a lot to learn and many 19 year olds are no more experienced then 15 year olds and as cluless as 14 year olds

Hi,
Well look at the word .. Nine ... Teen so yes realistically they are a teenager.
However here in UK you classed as an adult at the age of 18... confusing I know but that the way the cookie crumbles!
