I'm an emotional person, so a lot of songs make me cry. The most recent is on Reba McEntire's new Duets CD. It's called "Sleeping With The Telephone", and Reba sings it with Faith Hill. The first verse is about a soldier and the second is about a cop. Here are the lyrics:
I knew who he was when I took his name
But somehow knowin' is just not the same
Late at night
He knows the danger but he does what he does
He calls it duty but I call it love
So, here I am
While he's gone to some foreign land
And I cry 'cause I'm all alone
And the nights get so cold and long
And I try not to think he won't come home
But I'm sleeping with the telephone
The yellow ribbon on my neighbor's gate
Always reminds me that someone's awake
Just like me
I hear the sirens and I watch the news
He laughs and leaves with his gun and blue uniform
And I pray God keeps him safe from harm
And I cry 'cause I'm all alone
And the nights get so cold and long
And I try not to think he won't come home
But I'm sleeping with the telephone
I lose him in my darkest dreams
Yeah, my blood runs cold and my heart skips a beat
So I get up, I can't take any more
Sometimes I hate how much I love him
But every day I love him more
And I try not to think he won't come home
But I'm sleeping with the telephone
Something awakes me from where he should be
I reach for him, the telephone rings
And the song "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)" by Celine Dion chokes me up, too.

You Needed Me by Anne Murray. That was one of my mother's favorite songs. She passed away in 1988 when I was 11 years old. They words really mean a lot to me since I was so young when she died.
Tile :Anne Murray - You Needed Me
I cried a tear
You wiped it dry
I was confused
You cleared my mind
I sold my soul
You bought it back for me
And held me up and gave me dignity
Somehow you needed me.
Chorus
You gave me strength
To stand alone again
To face the world
Out on my own again
You put me high upon a pedestal
So high that I could almost see eternity
You needed me
You needed me
And I can't believe it's you I can't believe it's true
I needed you and you were there
And I'll never leave, why should I leave
I'd be a fool
'Cause I've finally found someone who really cares
You held my hand
When it was cold
When I was lost
You took me home
You gave me hope
When I was at the end
And turned my lies
Back into truth again
You even called me friend
Repeat Chorus
You needed me
You needed me

The video of Reba McIntire's "Is There Life Out There". The part where the kids spill the coffee and she gets onto them and it's her breaking point and says stuff she shouldn't have but things get better afterwards. Pretty tough scene to watch w/out tearing up.
