To love the Lord your God with all of your heart,soul,strength,and mind,and love your neighbor as yourself!

I agree with the first answer except I think our overarching purpose is to seek and find God.

The Westminster Confession says our chief aim (or purpose) is to glorify God and to enjoy Him (find my joy in Him) forever. To glorify God is to accurately portray Him and to do that I have to come to know Him.
