Apart from having observed (seen) a few women do such, when I go to a service station, I usually don't observe (watch) what the other customers do. I assume that quite a lot if not all women in Aus. still (if available) leave the filling up of the petrol tank to a attendant.

I don't think there are any full serve service stations where I live (Tampa). Women fill their cars up routinely.

I don't think that there are many (if indeed any) service stations in Australia where you can get an attendant to fill up your car for you, so I'm afraid that women do actually fill up for themselves. Will wonders never cease. Women can do things.

I have never been to a gas station where a service station attendent filled your gas for you, no matter the gender. There's a button for handicapped people if they need assistance, but that's for male handicapped as well.
Move to the U.S. Women have to do everything for themselves here, at least in the metropolitan areas.

I always fill my own tank. not just cause there is a complete lack of full service filling stations around here, but it seems weird to have someone do it for you. (and I am a girl!)

New Jersey and Oregon are the only states in the USA where they still have attendants fill the tank for you. (Leave it to the two most politically liberal states in the country to figure you are too stupid to do it yourself!)

Women in America are smarter than women in Australia I guess, because here they know how to do this and do it. They are self-dependent and can actually work to.

Yeah, I feel your pain. I always tell my wife it is just as easy to keep the top half of the tank full as it is the bottom half.

actually....he doesnt live in hillbillyland...he probably lives in NEW JERSEY. because nobody here fills up their tanks...they do it for us... :)
