Even with the baggage this guy has, there will be interest. Also what kind of a salary will he request? More or less than he is getting now?

I think he will go to an AL team and DH if he comes back at all...Oakland is a real possibility, cause Piazza was a failure at DH, and Barry would fill seats. But I dont think he is gonna get the money he rreally wants, my guess is between 6 and 9 million. He could also go to Atlanta...cause they have a federal prison there and if his name shows up on any of the roids bust list and its proven he did lie to the grand jury, he could be playing center field for someone in the Georgia Penal League

The yankees will sign bonds to a 1 year $130 million contract.

It will probably be an AL West team like Oakland or the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He's not going to get $15 mil, but hes going to request a LARGE salary. He is the home run king, ain't he?

I really believe the only team that will give him consideration would be the Oakland A's. That is where his fan base is and I would actually be surprised if very many other teams show interest. No team would want to take the chance that Bonds would be harassed every game in his home park and no other NL team would take him because he is a huge liability defensively and his legs are gone.

He mentioned St. Louis Cardinals but I sure hope not! We already have Pujols who is good defensivly (sp?) (and bonds is really only good offensivly) and offensvily. Not to mention if Bonds went to the Cardinals that could just cause problems for them. But I bet he'll join an American League team.

If the money is right the Oakland A's it's as close to home as he can get they need some fans in the stadium and he is an easy way to provide that.

I could see him signing with Texas because of their short porch in right. Minnesota is also a possibility. Maybe the White Sox.

The Angels will sign him, they have the money, could use a DH and Bonds lives in LA.
