Bill as you once said "you are oooooooooold.
I was'nt born in the 20s but not too long after
that. In my day was not much different than
the 20s. Back then the black people had their
place and the whites had theirs. It's almost
the same today except the schools. Most
churches are still segregated because [I think]
the black peoples' worship is so much different
than the whites. Their style is a little more
"dramatic" than ours but I enjoy their style.
We still have black communities today the
same as we had way back when, but we also
have non-segregated communities which are
working very well. My personal feelings today
versus back when I was a child is much
different in a positive way I might add.
If I were put back in my childhood days and
knowing what I know today my attitude would
be more positive towards the blacks.

Nobody could possibly answer that with any certainty. It was a very different society back then, and we're all a product of society as it is now. I'd like to say "yes" but I don't know, as most people just follow the status quo.

If I suddenly traveled back in time 87 years and cross-country, I might have more pressing existential problems than fighting discrimination. ;)
But in theory, yes, if I could be then/there knowing what I know from here/now, I would fight for fairness and equality for all people as best I could (being a stranger in a strange land might offer certain advantages as well as severe disadvantages).

I'd like to think that I would....but I can't say for sure. My place as a woman in society would have certainly been different then. I'd hope I'd be just as outspoken and fair-minded, but it would be so against the norm, there just may be too much fear there.

I dont see a difference your country is still as racist as all @@@@ and looks sickening to other countries. White people need to see that having two tier justice isnt working anymore. I am white and ashamed of what is happening with the blacks. Its very sad.
