It depends on how you define robot. If you classify some of the many NASA probes that have been sent to other planets or on deep space missions, they certainly would qualify as the most expensive. The question is very broad. Can you narrow it a bit?

What is a robot? If you count automated automobile assembly plants with many "arms" carrying out the whole task of making automobiles - probably that.
