Fed Ex ad is better. It's more surprising and still gets the message across.
The Southwest ad is predictable. Ok, so I didn't know exactly what was going to happen but I knew some sort of damage would be done with one of the controllers. Kudos for tapping into new technology but overall less funny / not as good as the Fed Ex ad.

I absolutely LOVE the first one. It hits on the geographical extent of FedEx and made me laugh a lot. The poor slob who couldn't find China on a map. Hmmm, I'm not sure but I think the names of every country are included on a map aren't they? The second one wasn't bad, but it made me feel uneasy and cringe when the TV got demolished...I'd never seen either of these commercials and I really enjoy the art of making a commercial. Thanks for the entertainment.

I like the second one better.
I have a hard time with folks that graduate from their schools without good geography skills. Might be why the new GPS tools are so popular.

The second one was pretty good even though you know the tv would end up busted it is still funny you want to watch although you know the outcome.

southwest wins this round... but these commercials only work on the humor theme... Target commercials are still, by far, the best commercials out there... very creative and fun... nice play of imagery and music...
