I not too sure of this, but, tell what I know. Years ago I had studied a little about windshield crack repair and have bought and used that repair stuff with good results. One thing I read is buff the area was toothpaste. I used a regular type, any cheap brand be OK. I not sure this would work with glass, but, it something you could try. Might want to test it on a scrap mirror as it may just make more scratches. I would keep it moist and clean often using new paste. Use a good soft cloth or real chamois cloth and do by hand. I just make a suggestion as this be all I know to try. There may be a kit for this at a Auto-Parts store.
One last note; it may take a lot of work/time if this does have a chance to work.
