my building manager has told me on several occasions that he regrets renting me the apartment because of my age.i am 28 years old and everyone in the bulding is over fifty.i never have get togethers or invite people over or have loud parties.he has accused me of having about 10 other people live there which is ridiculous!i have had a total of 3 visitors in the past year.when i come in the building im quiet and do not disturb anyone. he accused me of selling drugs all because i come in and out of the building sometimes late at night. i work to jobs and yes sometimes i get home at midnight and walk right back out to go to the midnight drive true of the 24 hour grocery store if im hungry and got nothing in my apartment.i spoke to the actual building owner and he said that as long as i pay my rent on time and dont wreck the apartment there is not a problem. but the building manager keeps harrasing me! is him having something against my age a type of discrimination?can i file a complaint?

Sounds like a bully.
Stop taking his crap! Tell him to mind his own damn business, or your going to make it your life's work to get him fired for harassing you. I'm assuming your latino so play the race card if you want to. Expect dirty looks and little help with clogged toilets but I think the dignity would be worth it.
Try this line, "Do you have a problem with my age, my race, or are you just a miserable ***?"

I would document his statements and the circumstances he refers to (like going out at 12) and then I would WRITE the owner.
I would state how you enjoy where you live, pay your rent and have had no issues with anyone else but that his statements are intrusive and unwarranted at minimum and very troubling at worst. I would state that his statements indicate that he watches you and that the fact that they have continued make you feel very uncomfortable. There is nothing illegal or in voilation of your contract related to the time you come and go. Tell him you would appreciate if he would address this issue with his employee and hope that in the future your personal activities will not be so monitored or scrutinized.
He's obvioulsy watching you. I would make that an alarming issue, the owners issue as this is his employee when it comes down to it. He's already let you know what he cares about.....the rent and ontime. You have a right to the peaceful enjoyment of your unit. Thats what you pay rent for. If the apartment manager is impeding your ability to enjoy your apartment he is harassing you. Document and provide to the owner. I would also ask the owner that should there be any violations on your part, you would expect to see them in writing. And that the absence of such can only mean that the manager is not doing his job or is harassing you without warrant.
You might even want to put a CC: at the bottom of your page so he thinks you are also sending the letter to your attorney.
Do not be accusatory to the owner but take a tact of soliciting his assistance in remedying these unreasonable and unexceptable accusations and activities by his employee.
The fact that he is monitoring your comings and goings would be of greatest concern to me.

you may desire to the touch the real of the HOA and hotel proceedings or call the PD everytime shes observing on your window, rapidly take her photograph as information, have a digicam sitting there and do a test % to be sure the digicam will grab her observing in. carry a small tape recorder on your pocket, take it out, push the button and say do you recommendations I tape this, my proprietor needs to hearken to the way you cope with me and so do the police, if she says no, turn it off and injury out from her asap and say, no tape recorder, no conversations then. i could desire to ask her sometime if there are policies appropriate to amazing up a protection digicam on the front door, say your wiped out of the harrassment and faux accusations and want the completed ingredient on tape so your assets proprietors can see who's doing what and who's saying what too. placed on colors and earphones each and every time you bypass away and on no account seem you considering the fact which you cant see or pay interest her.

Your building manager is a jerk. Sorry to inform you but he is not harrassing you. It's only his opinion ,as long as you are paying your rent on time try to ignore the jerk as much as you can and start looking for a different place to live. Or you could be just as rude as he is and tell him to (use any term you like)

NO it's not a type of discrimination. Although I'd talk to the building owner again and make sure he knows this guy has to leave you alone.

Age discrimination is for ages OVER a certain age, usually 40.
You don't have a legal claim against him. Have you tried talking to him? He sounds like a little bit of a nutcase, unfortunately.

Yes you can file a complaint. And when the building manager trys to talk to you, ignore him. He doesn't have the rights to tell you that when he has NO proof!
