Protein synthesis occurs in both the ribodomes and the nucleus. The DNA of the cell is read in certain sections that contain the code for a specific protein. Once the code is synthesized into intron and exons, the intron sequences are removed (nonsense sequences) and the exons are shipped out of the nuclues through the endoplasmic reticulum. The ribosomes read these codes and assemble proteins. the proteins are then packaged and distributed to meet the cells needs.
