I'm happier in *this* relationship than I was being single. But that doesn't hold true for all of the relationships I've been in... not by a long shot.

yes... but then, I haven't been single in 6 years, so i don't really remember what is was like being single... I was 16 the last time i was single and i'm sure being single at 16 isn't quite the same as being single at 22....

I was happy when I became single. Now I am even happier with the love of my life. He is the most wonderful man I could ever have met and loves me as no one ever has.

I believe that a person should be happy to start with before getting into a relationship as it causes problems. You certainly cannot depend on another person to make you happy. I am in a healthy and happy relationship right now with a beautiful woman who loves and accepts me for who I am as I do for her. Nothing better than true love.
