why do they wash you down there before you have your baby? .... i heard they shave you too???

They dont shave you anymore!! Ask your Dr about helping you with a birthing plan... it will help ease your mind!!

Well if you are getting a c-section and have not shaved yourself, they are going to do it. The reason is because the incision is where the hair grows and the area has to be completely clean.

They do it to remove germs, but most hospitals don't routinely shave any more, and if they do, they won't shave the whole thing, just what they feel is necessary. If you usually keep it trimmed down there, they probably won't do anything.

That really isn't done much anymore and was pretty unneccesary just like the enemas they used to give you.
