I keep hearing "If you're over thirty, and you want to get married, you have to marry somebody with children !" . Would EVERYBODY make a good stepparent ? Aren't there people who shouldn't have children ? Children don't have to obey somebody's rules if they don't want to, and they don't want to . I'd have to have my rules obeyed and respected, and children aren't obedient and respectful . If Mom has a new husband, Dad has a new wife, and everybody's making rules for the children, isn't that "too many cooks in the kitchen ?" .

Actually... if your over 30 and want to get married you have to be very careful and very selective. You are more set in your ways and if you marry someone your age they will be very set in their ways... If you don't match very close you will be doomed.
And frankly if you are waiting that long to get married and have no kids or experience with them you should NOT marry someone with kids. Kids bring a whole knew layer of issues that are best accepted by parents... not by someone to simply accept because they love the kids mom or dad.
SO I'm not sure who you've been listening to but they sound like idiots.
Some people aren't cut out to be parents and don't want to be parents. If that's you then do yourself and the kids of the world a favor and don't have any or marry anyone that has them. There are alot of people that never have kids and are perfectly happy that way. A lot of it is a culture thing. In the US society tries to pressue people into the family with white picket fence dream... it isn't everyone's dream and shouldn't be. In some South American countries there isn't that pressure to marry and being single for life isn't considered some great sin.

Also, no, you don't need to marry someone with children. It's up to you, isn't it? Or is someone holding a gun to your head making you do it?

I've never heard that if your over 30 you have to marry someone with kids. It's more probable that if you wait to get married you will meet and fall in love with someone who already has children. But hey, you don't have to do anything you don't want to in regards to getting married or not.

yeah 37 eh................russian mail order bride. hey theres risks thats a given, but thats what prenubs are for. hide all your investments and money, pretend your poor, see if she goes for it, if so your in.
