The other night he was a guest on Jay Leno's and mentioned his age and it sounded like 48. Wouldn't 58 be more believable? Did I hear him incorrectly?

James Hugh Calum Laurie, OBE (born 11 June 1959) is an English actor, comedian and writer. He is known professionally as Hugh Laurie.Laurie was born in Oxford. His father, William "Ran" Laurie, was a doctor who also won an Olympic gold medal in the coxless pairs at the 1948 London Games. His mother, Patricia Laidlaw, died when Laurie was 29.[1] Laurie was raised in the Presbyterian church.[2] He was brought up in Oxford and attended the Dragon School, a prestigious preparatory school. Hugh Laurie wasn't with the Monty Python bunch. He was in the Blackadder series, for one, but not MP as far as I know.
