I left a vinyl sign in a hot car, and the blue ink from the sign bled into the tan seat. Any ideas for how to get the ink out would be a big help.

I suggest going to auto zone or an auto place and picking up leather seat cleaner. the seat cleaners there will not harm your leather. ask the person witch is the best. I would suggest mothers. Also it will protect and make your leather shine. I just hope you did not leave it to long. Or it will be stuck that way.

You have what is known as dye transfer. Try Maxi Cleaner which was especially developed for this type of problem. It is a foam cleaner and has proved to be very effective.

If this does not work you will need to use stronger solvent based products which may damage the finish and/or pigment which will then need replacing.

If all else fails you need to use some recolouring products. The BRIT system works very well on these and there is a package which can be used safely and fairly easily on cars if you are good at this sort of thing. You need to get the colour matched to your leather for this.

It's more like plastic than ink. Unfortunately, you still need some-thing to take up the plastic. Try this. Place old towels over stain.pour HOT water on towels. Press down GENTLY on wet towel, wait about 15 seconds. Lift towels from seat.Gently pull up any plastic that will come up. Wipe with clean towel.
Repeat as needed. Finish with leather oil.

Try using a regular pencil eraser. I've gotten mixed results with it, but it's worth a shot.
