Most tattooists will not tattoo you when pregnant. It is not the ink that is dangerous (it only penetrates the dermal layers of the skin). It is the risk of infection after the tattoo is done and in the healing process. Any time you get a tattoo it can become infected even if you do take really good care of it. That infection can be harmful to your baby. So, it's not a good idea until after the baby is born.
Very Best Wishes!

I would just wait until you know for sure if your pregnant or not.
There is the risk of blood infection, general infection and hepititus so just wait it out to be safe.
I got a new tattoo on July 3rd and found out July 6th I was pregnant, I freaked because had I even thought I was pregnant I would have put it off.

DO NOT GET TATTOOED until you know for sure whether or not you are pregnant. If you mention that you may be pregnant to the tattoo artist, they won't tattoo you anyway. Just wait a few weeks, take a pregnancy test, THEN finish your tattoo. (only if its negative of course)

find out if your pregnant first. Just buy a test.

You might wanna take a test or check with your Dr to be positive. You don't wanna be getting tattoos or touch-ups while pregnant.

Most people wont tattoo you if they know you are pregnant.
It can mess with the ink and how it sticks.. something to do with your hormones.
There's a few other reasons, I just don't remember them off the top of my head.

If you think you're prego, probably better to wait unitl after just to be safe. There haven't been any studies on this, but better to be safe than sorry!
