Why does it take a long time for my computer to transfer items(pics, doc, etc.) into another file, floppy-disk, or into a CD. What can I do to increase the transfer speed? I do not have any software or programs installed into the computer. Do I need to buy a newer processor? or what do I need to buy?

This is hard to diagnose without knowing your system specifications, but it seems you have one or more of the following problems ...

1. Too many programs running in the background, slowing the PC down.

2. Not enough memory (RAM).

Try closing out a few of the programs running in the right hand corner, in the taskbar. And see if it doesn't improve copy/transfer speed. If that doesn't work, you could try investing $40-$60 for some more system memory (RAM). Hope this helps!
