i only have a visa electron but i set up bank funding the seller only accepts paypal is this still the same thing
first time buyer on ebay so not sure how it all works
also on my paypalpayment history it says uncleared

Has nothing to do with ebay. Since the only active funding source you have on your paypal account is a bank account you can only send echecks. Paypal debits the amount, insure that the funds are received and then sends it to the seller. It takes about 3 business days. Once done it will show cleared. Most all sellers are aware of echecks.
